Shift - Festival der elektronischen Künste

    Shift is an electronic arts festival in Basel, initiated in 2006 by [plug.in], together with other organisations. It took place for the first time in October 2007. Shift is an international platform for the multifaceted and dynamic field of electronic arts. Shift offers its broad audience insight into the current artistic production in this realm. Music, visual arts, film, and video meet and exchange ideas ­ their common grounds as well as their unique qualities will become visible and audible in Shift.

    Founded in November 2006, Shift is governed by an association comprised of four Basel organizations active in the fields of film, video, media art, and electronic music. Specifically: [plug.in] art and new media; sinus series, platform for electronic music; the DVD magazine compiler and (until end of 2007) the videofilmtage Basel.
