Event in the context of the current exhibition

With the exhibition "Pronto! On Telephony." [plug.in] is a cooperation partner of /dis/connecting/media/ an international conference on the medium telephone.
Among the speakers are also three of the artists of the exhibition: Unsworn Industries, Graham Harwood/Richard Wright and !Mediengruppe Bitnik.

The symposium takes place at baselcitystudios at Frankfurt-Strasse 36 (Basel Dreispitz). On saturday evening, !Mediengruppe Bitnik will give an artist talk at [plug.in] and the curators will give a guided tour through the exhibition.

The conference is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Universities of Basel and Bern.

The symposium is organized by the interdisciplinary graduate program Prodoc „Aesthetics of Intermediality. Play – Ritual – Performance“ from the Universities of Basel and Bern and the leading house Institute for Media Studies (/i/f/m) Basel.
